On June 29, 2023 the Supreme Court ruled that colleges and universities can no longer consider race in the college admissions process β. What does that mean for you?
You still have a chance to talk about race in your writing π₯³βοΈππ½! When you are brainstorming about what to write for your Common App or UC Personal Insight questions, reflect on how your race and/or ethnicity has influenced your experiences or have contributed to who you are today.
Some questions to ask yourself:
βWhat ways has race and/or my ethnicity played a role in who I am today?
βWhat highlights, obstacles, challenges, or successes have I experienced linked to my identity?
βDo I even consider race as part of my identity? If so, what does this mean to me?
