On June 29, 2023 the Supreme Court ruled that colleges and universities can no longer consider race in the college admissions process ❌. What does that mean for you?

You still have a chance to talk about race in your writing 🥳✍️👏🏽! When you are brainstorming about what to write for your Common App or UC Personal Insight questions, reflect on how your race and/or ethnicity has influenced your experiences or have contributed to who you are today.

Some questions to ask yourself:

❓What ways has race and/or my ethnicity played a role in who I am today?

❓What highlights, obstacles, challenges, or successes have I experienced linked to my identity?

❓Do I even consider race as part of my identity? If so, what does this mean to me?
